The Battle System
When you go to the battle page to choose an opponent, you will notice that the only players listed are are between 85% and 130% of your level.
If you are level 100, you can battle an opponent who is as low as level 85 or as high as level 130.
To calculate the minimum and maximum level players you are able to battle against, simply multiply your level by 0.85 for the minimum and 1.30 for the maximum.
There are 6 aspects of Dark Galaxy that contribute to your chances of winning or losing a battle.
- Allies
- Weapons
- Vehicles
- Tactics
- Attributes
- Luck
You must understand that if you put all of your attribute points into attack, buy the vehicles/weapons with the most attack, and even max out suppress and amplify, you may still be beaten when you are attacked yourself, because your defense attribute will be lacking greatly. You may also be beaten by a player who has stacked all his attribute points into defense, bought the weapons/vehicles with the highest defense and also maxed out suppress and amplify.
This is how the game works. If everyone brings up their character by stacking into attack, then everyone would win while attacking, and lose while being attacked.
Keep in mind that by adding points into both attack and defense, you will not be as strong in one as someone who allocates his or her points to mostly one or the other.
Luck only comes into play if 2 opponents are around the same strength - when the attacking player has about as much attacking power as the defensive player has defensive power. If you attack a player and you see the message "@^#&^$ you got unlucky and lost," this indicates that a player is a bit weaker than you, but managed to win because they got lucky. If a player is stronger than you and you get lucky and walk away with a win, the message will read "BOOOOOYAHHHHH, you got lucky and won."
There comes a point when a player overpowers another by so much that luck doesn't even factor in; the player will win 100% of the time.
